“ In 1914 and again during WWII, Japanese Internment Camps were located in Lethbridge. The result? A proportionatly large Japanese population lives here. There is a large number of Japanese restaurants here. I was told about the Lighthouse and decided to try it. No regrets. It is very good. I gave the food 5 stars, but I would note the seafood and fish are not as fresh as what I get in YVR. But I felt taking marks off for that would be unfair. I knew there was no ocean by Lethbridge. The food was very well prepared, interesting, and tasty. The presentation was nice. The service was exceptional. The server knew the menu well and gave me good recommendations. The venue is clean and I liked the look. I recommend the restaurant. ”

“ I’ve eaten in almost all Japanese restaurants in Lethbridge and I’s say they have the best tempura (also pickled ginger). The place is packed on weekends so make prior reservations. The food is top notch. Would have been a more pleasant experience for us if the server didn’t smell like cigarette smoke. ”
